Spotsy officer shoots, kills pit bull

A pit bull was shot and killed by a Spotsylvania County detective after an officer was attacked during an arrest Thursday evening.

Capt. Jeff Pearce of the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office said detectives located a man who was wanted on three felony warrants in the Timbers subdivision in the Chancellor area around 8 p.m.

Detectives were in the 300 block of Burman Lane trying to take the man into custody when he attempted to escape, Pearce said, and a nearby pit bull began to attack.

Road Work

September 28th, 2011 the roads in The Timbers were “resurfaced”. This had to be the cheapest job the County could afford. The last time the roads were resurfaced was in the Spring of 1995.

Busted!

Looks like someone got busted!

Police Stand-Off

Woke up to the Police having the road blocked, there was a stand-off a few doors down. Turned out to be a drug dealer that moved in a few weeks prior.

A week later VDOT came out and fixed it all, which is a good thing, we weren’t sure how to drag the rocks back to where they belong.

So what happens when a big rig tries to do a u-turn around a traffic circle? They end up taking half the circle with them. One of the rocks was found by the speed bumps.

So what happens when you drag race down while playing chicken on Albany Street? Well one of the cars ends up in the ditch, with a giant hole in the oil pan. And you get arrested, ouch!
